Banking Forum
The Banking Forum is a sub-committee of the Council of Financial Regulators. It coordinates the work of several government agencies that regulate banks. The permanent members of the Council of Financial Regulators are the permanent members of the Banking Forum. The Ministry of Justice and the Inland Revenue Department are associate members.

Insurance Forum
The Insurance Forum is another sub-committee of the Council of Financial Regulators, which was established in October 2021. The forum meets quarterly and aims to contribute to the facilitation of co-operation and co-ordination between members to support effective and responsive regulation in the insurance sector.
The permanent members of the Insurance Forum are: Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ); The Treasury; Commerce Commission; Financial Markets Authority (FMA); Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE); Natural Hazards Commission (NHC); Financial Services Council (FSC); Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ); Financial Advice New Zealand (FANZ); New Zealand Society of Actuaries (NZSA) and the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand (IBANZ).

Monitoring and Coordination Forum
The Monitoring and Coordination Forum is the third sub-committee of the Council of Financial Regulators, established in June 2022. The purpose of the Forum is to promote and enable the effective information sharing on regulated entities between the member agencies, to assist and enable increased coordination and prioritisation of licensing, monitoring, and enforcement activity by the member agencies, and to achieve increased regulatory efficiency for regulated entities through improved sharing of information and monitoring perspectives/insights by the member agencies. The member organisations are Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ); Commerce Commission; and the Financial Markets Authority (FMA).
